For those planning a trip to Central Florida, Amtrak has rolled out a sweet deal: now through August 31, 2025, children can travel free in both Coach Class and First Class private rooms on the Amtrak Auto Train. The offer is valid for routes between Lorton, Virginia, and Sanford, Florida—a perfect route for families heading to popular attractions in and around the Orlando area.
But the savings don’t stop when the train arrives. Amtrak child ticket holders also get free admission to Crayola Experience locations across the country. Known as one of the most colorful family attractions in the U.S., Crayola Experience features interactive play, creative stations, and a rainbow of hands-on activities. The offer is available at Crayola Experience locations in Easton, Pennsylvania; the Mall of America in Minnesota; Orlando, Florida; and Plano, Texas.
Families traveling between May 8 and August 31 can simply show their child’s Amtrak ticket at check-in to receive free entry. Admission can be redeemed until September 30, 2025, giving families even more flexibility for their adventures.
Beyond these fantastic offers, the Amtrak–Crayola partnership is turning heads with something truly unique: two custom-designed locomotives traveling along Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor from Washington, D.C., to Boston. One engine is wrapped in Violet Blue and celebrates eight fan-favorite retired crayons, brought back for a limited time—marking a first in Crayola’s 122-year history. The second train dons the bold, golden hue of Dandelion, complete with an appearance by Dan D, Crayola’s cheerful Ambassador of Creativity.
Each locomotive proudly features the slogan “Creativity on the Go!”, a reminder that imagination doesn’t take a vacation—it comes along for the ride.
